Get More From Your Intrusion System
Burglary and intrusion systems are essential for businesses. If your system is armed and a sensor is triggered, it will alert the monitoring center. At that time, an operator will respond to your alarm by contacting the authorities or appropriate responding parties. Your Comtronics intrusion system does this, but it also can do more. We offer many services that work with your intrusion system to keep you informed and protect your business.
Open and Close Reporting
A report outlining who armed and disarmed the system each day and at which times can be created and emailed to your designated recipients. You can have this report sent daily, weekly, or any date and time that you would like.
Our Open and Close Report can help you to know who is the first to arrive at work, if your location is opening and closing on time, and more.
Supervised Open and Close
Supervised Open and Close is similar to Open and Close Reporting except that it is supervised. Our National Monitoring Center is receiving live alerts of any arm or disarm activity. Based on the criteria set by you, we will notify designated responsible parties if arming or disarming is taking place outside of the requirements. There are two main types of Supervised Open and Close: early/late to open and early/late to close.
1. Early/Late to Open
As the business owner, you tell us what times your business should be opened each day. If your alarm is disarmed before the designated time, we will notify responsible parties of the activity. If your alarm is not disarmed by the specified time, we will notify responsible parties.
For example, if you operate a retail store and it opens at 8 AM, you might set a range of 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM for an employee to disarm the system. If the store is disarmed at 2 AM, we will notify you because no one should be disarming your system before 7 AM. If the store has not been disarmed at 7:31 AM, we will inform you because it could indicate that your employees are not at the store ready to serve customers. These times are entirely customizable and designated by you.
The open time can be different each day of the week, on weekends, holidays, and can easily be updated. We can also edit the time based on the user. As the owner, you can arm or disarm the system 24/7, but your employees might not have the same privileges.
2. Early/Late to Close
Just like with specific open times, you can inform us of the time your business should be closed each day. If your alarm is armed before the designated time, we will notify responsible parties of the activity. If your alarm is not armed by the appointed time, we will notify responsible parties as well.
Again, let’s pretend you operate a retail store. The store closes to the public at 6 PM. Of course, your employees need some time to clean up, reset for the next day, and exit the building. Therefore, you notify us that your store should be armed no earlier than 6:15 PM and no later than 7:00 PM. If your facility is armed before 6:15 PM, we will notify you. An early arming of the security system could indicate that your employees are closing or leaving early. If your store is not armed at 7:01 PM, we will notify you. One of your employees may have forgotten to arm the system when they left for the evening. If we contact you because your store has not been armed by the assigned time, you can ask us to set a delay, perhaps you checked the cameras, and your employees are still cleaning up. If the system still has not been armed after the delay, we will contact responsible parties again.
The close time can be different each day of the week, on weekends, holidays, and can easily be updated. We can also edit the time based on the user. As the owner, you can arm or disarm the system 24/7, but your employees might not have the same privileges.
Floating Schedules
Sometimes, there is certain personnel who need to enter your business after hours. With your guidance, we can create windows of time that they can enter and exit the building. A great example of this is your janitorial service. If the janitorial team is scheduled to clean your building on Mondays and Thursdays from 8 PM – 9 PM, we can notify responsible parties from your business if the intrusion system has not been armed by 9 PM.
Temperature Alerts
High or low temperatures can be a risk for your business. With temperature sensors, we can alert you if the temperature reaches a certain degree, high or low. Often, companies have high-temperature sensors in their server room or low-temperature sensors near pipes that could freeze. A fire or loss of information due to water damage can be detrimental to your company.
Flood Detection
Like temperature alerts, our flood sensors can alert you of a small leak before becoming a big problem. Place flood sensors near sinks, kitchen appliances, bathrooms, and other places that risk water leaks. Some customers place flood detectors in their file rooms. If there is a water leak that reaches the file room, they can stop it before it destroys their files.
